Music Monday - (I've Had) The Time Of My Life (Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes)

Dirty Dancing was a massive box office hit in 1987. It was a coming of age drama (romance film) about a debutante's rebellion against her father by starting a relationship with a dance instructor during a family summer vacation.

Its original soundtrack of the same title likewise became a huge success and the song "(I've Had) The Time of my Life", which was used in the finale of the movie, won both the Golden Globe and the Academy Award for Best Original Song, and a Grammy Award for Best Duet.

"Ive had the time of my life
No, I never felt like this before
Yes, I swear it's the truth
And I owe it all to you."

The finale was described as the most goosebump-inducing dance scene in movie history. Kenny Ortega, the movie's choreographer, later became famous for High School Musical.
