Awards Galore... Sorry for the Late Post

Friends are a source of joy... as well as awards. I am late in posting them here but that does not mean that I don't appreciate these awards.

Kat of Candles Crafts and Whatnot is a very good friend of mine who always remembers to share her awards with me. When I was just starting here, I got a lot of encouragement from her. She even invited me to write for the online magazine, The Angels Weekly. If you are looking for useful tips, humor, entertainment news and updates, you should go and check out Kat's blog.

These are the 3 beautiful awards that she gave me:

My favorite funny blogger and friend, Sandee of Comedy Plus, gave me this Butterfly Blogger Award. Oh, I love butterflies and this one's really pretty! Yebbbbaaaaa!!!

Thank you so much, Sandee. I get my daily dose of laughter from her blog. Believe me, you'll get hooked once you get a taste of her humor.

I got another award from Cathy of Psychic Mama*Indigo Child. This is the Heart of a Dragon Award.

This is what she said about this award...

"Sometimes you connect with people you've never met before, yet it seems like you've known them forever. That's how I feel about Aimee and the owners of the blogs that I'm giving this award. Some of you know my belief that we've been kindred souls since time began and that's how we connect here on Earth. Some of you are just finding out. But to all of you I give my heartfelt thanks for the joy in meeting up with you again..."

Thank you so much for being my friend, Cathy.

And speaking of kindred souls, I found a new friend here who never gets tired of visiting my 2 blogs and leaving a comment. That's Thom of Thom's Place 4 Well Whatever... who is a fellow Cancerian. Thom's blog, which is his playground, has influenced me on how to enjoy playing all these memes. He is such a sweet friend as he never forgets to post and greet his friends who are celebrating their birthdays or anniversaries. His scenic and sunset photos (of Hawaii) are truly awesome!

Being the sweet friend that he is, he gave me 7 beautiful awards!

Thom, thank you sooooooooo much for thinking of me when you gave out your awards. mltan100.blogspot.com

To give the love back, I am sharing ALL of these awards with Kat, Cathy, Sandee, Thom. I also would like to give these awards to Mike, Shinade aka Jackie, Marzie, Janet, Dorothy L, Bud (WTIT: The Blog), Mimi, Harriet, and all of my top 10 EC droppers for the month of September:

A Clever Girl's Idea

When I first read of Jen's post at dust bunny hostage about wanting to celebrate Positive Day on July 31, my first reaction was "count me in!" This was actually her 12-year-old Diva Daughter's idea. Here's what she said:

"My little Diva Daughter read a review in the Wall Street Journal about the latest Harry Potter movie. It was not positive and she was disappointed. She gave a lengthy monologue about the negative things she had read. I walked her over to the computer, clicked New Post on my blog, and told her to "have at it". She looked one part shocked, and one part happy to voice her opinion (you can find that post HERE).

When she was verbally sharing her opinion, she told me when she becomes president in 2032, she will instate Positive Day. She claimed it will be a day for people to think about the things they are thankful for and to share the things that make them happy. She also wrote about Positive Day in her post.

This is part of the comment Travis left for Diva Daughter:

"Now as to Positive Day, why wait? Pick a day and let us know what it is. We can make a blog badge and have Positive Day in the Bloggosphere!"

When she read it, her eyes lit up and she giggled - I could tell that she REALLY liked the idea of Positive Day being celebrated in the Bloggosphere. In her words "Oh yeah! Let's do it!"

And Positive Day was born from the mind of a twelve year old girl."

The concept is for everyone to share the things in their lives that are positive. She urged us to count our blessings and to "CHOOSE to accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative."

So in keeping with my commitment to join this crusade, I posted all the things I am grateful of in my main blog, OF LIVING AND LOVING... AND COPING.

How about you? Have you counted your blessings today? Believe me, it makes a whole lot of difference in your life or at least in your attitude. It won't hurt to smile as you recall all the good things that came your way.

Happy Positive Day to everyone!mltan100.blogspot.com

Trouble Creating A New Post

I had trouble creating a new post here. Yesterday when I tried to open the page where I could create a new post, it gave me an error code and this annoying message:

We're sorry, but we were unable to complete your request.

When reporting this error to Blogger Support or on the Blogger Help Group, please:

  • Describe what you were doing when you got this error.
  • Provide the following error code and additional information.

blogID: 3127521862094704546
host: www.blogger.com
uri: /post-create.g

I thought it would just correct itself but after almost 24 hours, there still isn't any change at all.

I reported the problem but it seems that nobody could detect what is causing it.

Now I am posting from my Windows Live Writer, an idea which I got somewhere in the discussion boards. It is really an awesome tool. I can easily open it from my Windows Live Mail. What I did was to "post draft to weblog" then proceeded to edit it here in Blogger. Now I don't have to wait for Blogger to fix the error before I could publish a new post.

I missed Music Monday in this blog because of this error!!! I posted it in my other blog though.
