It's Disco Music Monday once again. This song was a classic hit from the 1984 musical film, Footloose, and became Number 1 on Billboard 100 on that same year. It was also nominated for Best Music (Original song) in the 1985 Academy Awards. The movie's soundtrack album stayed Number One for two months on the Billboard 200 Pop Album chart.
"Let's Hear It For The Boy" was truly my favorite in the original nine-track album of Footloose. Listen carefully to the upbeat melody and lyrics and you'll know why...

Happy MM :-) And who can forget Footloose? :-) But if you really think about it now, I think Footloose wasn't much of a music classical compared to the musical videos of today...
ILLUSIONAIRE, i don't think there is any point in comparing the music videos of today to the music videos of the 80's. back then, mtv had just been introduced and Thriller was a major breakthrough as far as mtv production was concerned. music videos have really gone a long, long way since then. i'm glad you still remember Footloose. =)
Eeek! I love the movie!!! My favorite really is footloose. It makes me dance so much just hearing it, but I like this too!!
